Greetings slaves! We've been reading your requests and problems to be fixed, and I've been told to let you know that we are working on it. It's a quite big upgrade that's going on, and if you're lookin' for some more information, Click Here and check out that bitch.
So you want to submit some content to Hack The Music? Well that is wonderful. However there is a lot of specific details that we need you to pay attention to, to insure that we stay organized and efficient, and don't get anything messed up. Please take the time to read these regulations carefully, because content sent to the wrong departments or mislabeled altogether will simply be discounted and deleted. It is your soul responsability. to ensure that your submitted content is labeled correctly, and sent to the correct place.
Ok, so you have a downloadble file for us! That's great!
Before you send that file our way, please pay attention, the way you label the email ensures that we will actually get it, and put it in the right place. Please understand that mislabled emails will be automatically deleted.
Email the file to us at staff[at]hackthemusic.com:
in the Title of the email, put the file type(sample library, random useful file, *podcasts are assigned, protocol is different.*), and the tag:DOWNLOAD. After that we will just download the file and you will get a confirmation email.
If you didn't get a confirmation email, we didn't get your email.
IMPORTANT:
All written material, All of it must abide by these rules and guide lines, to keep Hack The Music friendly, organized, and as free of bullshit as possible.
01. Language People, Language. As in the forums, we do not censor all swear words. We understand as human beings, and as rather open minded people, you are going to swear. And most, if not all, of our audiences won't take too much offense to this. So for the most part, common curse words are generally okay, but for those who are sensative to those words please do you best to keep the language as friendly as we can.
02. Relevance. Would you come to Hack The Music, a community consisting of mostly musiceans, and artists of many types, to learn to cook? How about to read about how linsey lohan is a pathetic drunk? Well most of us wouldn't. That's why we try to keep our site bullshit-free as much as possible, and retain relevance.
03. Spam... of coarse. Spam obviously won't be paid attention to. Our email has spam blocker, and a virus scanner. If you really have the time to spam and try to "virus" a music community, you are a sad pathetic person haha.
Well we have an author in our midsts, thats great!
Hack The Music is always looking for aspireing artists and authors to attribute to our community!
The first few things we need to know is what is this article about?, what kind of article is it? (is it an interview, informational article, opinions perhaps?) and finally, and maybe most importantly, is this article relevant to our community?
Once we figure these out, we're well on our way! For the first two questions, we are pretty open minded on what the answers coud be. Just make sure the submitted material(s) abide to the guide lines and you should be okay.
Next thing of coarse is to make sure the work is relevant. If it isn't then, well whats the point anyways?
We don't know either.
just send us an email adressed to staff[at]hackthemusic.com.
in the title, simply put "ARTICLE" and leave it at that. if you don't, we won't open it, or care. sorry.
DO NOT ATTATCH FILES, COPY AND PASTE DIRECTLY INTO THE EMAIL.
Just make sure to have it all organized, spelled correctly, use correct grammar, and most importantly be proffesional and have ALL credentials, including copyright
If you know nothing of copyright, look it up.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND, IT CAN TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE ARTICLE APPEARS ON THE SITE. DO NOT SEND US EMAILS ASKING US IF WE GOT IT. WE WILL TELL YOU WE GOT IT AS SOON AS WE CHECK IT. IF IT'S BEEN OVER TWO WEEKS, THEN SEND US AN EMAIL. NEVER BEFORE THEN.
I know it sounds complicated, but its not, you silly person.
Thank you for your work, we really really appreciate it, and look forward to seeing it soon!!!

First of all, please make sure in your tutorial(s) that you know what you're talking about and that you're tutorial is easy to fallow. *Perferably a step by step process.
Other than that, the rules are generally the same as the others.

For videos, it's much more simple. We only accept YouTube videos, so we don't have to host them ourselves. So if you want to upload a video to Hack The Music, send a link to the video in an email adressed to staff[at]hackthemusic.com, titled "VIDEO"
